Student Writer Instructions:
You will be using your knowledge of one of our math topics from class to write new lyrics to a popular nursery rhyme or familiar song.
First, you will need to organize what you know about one of our math procedures and create step-by-step instructions for solving. Next, you will revise your step-by-step instructions so that they can be sung to a song everyone in class can sing too.
Make sure that in planning your song you fully develop your thoughts so that it is clear to someone who does not know the topic.
Use the organizer to help you organize your thoughts before writing the song, and use the given lyrics to help you fit the new lyrics to the tune.
