What Else is Love?

Using Pat Benatar's "Love is a Battlefield" to inspire an original extended metaphor from writers

Student Writer Instructions:

By now, you should have examined at Pat Benatar's extended metaphor (Love is a Battlefield), and you've examined a different extended metaphor (Love is a swimming pool).   So...you should have a pretty good idea of how you create a metaphor and then build upon it.

You're now going to create an original metaphor about love and then you're going to extend the metaphor.  Be unusual, creative, and imaginative as you brainstorm how to extend your metaphor.

You will be taking your brainstorm and turning it into a poem that almost could be sung along with Pat Benatar's original song.  Be creative and original as you borrow from a great song's structure.
