Student Writer Instructions:
In Ted, Tony DiTerlizzi takes simple things that kids think about or do, and he turns them into jumbo-sized, laugh-out-loud-adventures. And he makes you--the reader--want to join in.
Today you get to take some ordinary activity from your own life (eating breakfast, riding to school, walking through the neighborhood, etc.) and turn it into an adventure. It will become an adventure because you will write about your activity as though you were doing it with an imaginary friend. And you get to make up your own imaginary friend!
The buttons below will help you invent your brand new imaginary friend! Button #1 will give a color for your friend. Button #2 will give you a size. Button #3 will give you an amazing feature of your imaginary friend.
Name your imaginary friend, after you have created him...or her...or it. Then write a story about you doing something ordinary with your imaginary friend. BUT...make it seem like an EXTRA-ordinary adventure because you're doing it with your imaginary friend. |
